How to collect payment from your guest online using Smily
Smily can take care of the payment for your direct bookings automatically. Here's how it works:
- Create a booking in Smily and select the tentative status
- The guest will automatically receive an email with a payment link to confirm their booking and pay the downpayment online
- As soon as the guest has paid the down payment, the booking is confirmed automatically and you receive an email confirmation
- If the guest does not pay the downpayment in time, the booking will be cancelled automatically to free your calendar for other bookings
What to do if you have collected payment directly from your guest
If you have already taken payment from your guest, for example by cheque or wire transfer, you can record this payment in the booking on Smily.
To do this, click on the "+" at the end of the payment bar, complete the payment details and click save.
If your booking has a tentative status and you record a payment manually, the booking will be confirmed automatically.
